About Floating Forest
Floating Forest is an experimental jazz project exploring broken beats, fusion textures, and open improvisation. Formed by four musicians from distinct corners of Indonesia’s music scene, the band brings together jazz language, rhythmic experimentation, and cross-genre sensibilities.
Fronting the project is Jascha Benny, a guitar-singer known for his soulful melodic approach rooted in R&B and contemporary music, adding emotional nuance and guitar texture to the band’s sound. Brandon Julio Aartsen anchors the music on bass, drawing from his background in the jazz circuit with a fluid, responsive approach to groove and harmony.
On drums is Krishna “Kainhaya” Kanhaiya Dasa, a highly accomplished drummer who began performing internationally at a young age, including work with Batuan Ethnic Fusion and Jazz Muda Indonesia, appearing at major festivals such as Java Jazz. Completing the ensemble is Palel Atmoko on percussion, widely known from Balinese rock band Navicula, bringing raw energy, layered rhythms, and an alternative edge.
Together, Floating Forest creates a sound that is exploratory, rhythmic, and constantly evolving.

Yes, you can book a table on Mondays till Thursdays at any time. On our ticketed days (Fridays, and Saturdays), reservation slots may only available between 8 - 8.30 PM.
Yes, we have FDC (First Drink Charge) tickets on Fridays & Saturdays. On Wednesdays, all you need to do is just make a reservation, and you can enjoy the show with free entry.
Yes! We have Free Entry nights every Mondays to Thursdays.
On Fridays & Saturdays, you can also enter our bar for free if you come before 9 PM.
You are welcomed to come as you are, as long you're not wearing flip-flops or beverage branded singlet. Leather sandals are fine, we're not fussy ;)
Please note that our bar is located on the 2nd floor of IZE Seminyak Hotel on Jalan Kayu Aya no. 68, right above Meja Kitchen.
We have street parking space available for motorbikes / scooters only. We have limited parking space for small cars at IZE Seminyak hotel basement. For big cars, we suggest to park at Seminyak Square or Seminyak Village which is only 5 minutes away from Seken. To save the hassle, we strongly recommend you to come using online tax apps (Gojek / Grab).
No smoking is allowed indoors between 8 PM - 12 AM, vaping and iQos are allowed. Our outdoor deck is a perfect place for a cigarette break in between the sets.
Yes, we do! We serve seasonal mocktails based on what ingredients are available at the bar at that moment. Ask our bartenders to make one based on your preference. We also have soft drinks if you're in the mood for a plain one.
