About Greybox Ensemble

Greybox Ensemble is a forward-thinking future jazz ensemble at the intersection of electronic sound design and live improvisation. Based between Bali and Jakarta, Greybox is a producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work fuses jazz, hip-hop, soul, and electronic textures. Trained originally as a guitarist and now a keyboardist with deep roots in New York and Indonesian scenes, his sound reflects influences from Detroit and New York jazz and boom-bap culture.

Line Up:

Greybox - Synth Keys

Palel Atmoko - Percussion

Kanhaiya - Drum

Kristian Dharma - Bass

Kuba Skowronski - Sax

At the core of the ensemble is Greybox on synth and keys, an artist known for an experimental approach that melds electronic timbres with rhythmic jazz sensibilities. Greybox’s performances are characterized by explorations of texture, atmosphere, and harmonic depth, linking modern synthesis with live band interaction.

Supporting the group’s rhythmic and percussive foundation is Palel Atmoko on percussion. A seasoned musician in the Bali scene, Palel has been active with bands such as Navicula and Soulfood, bringing a versatile rhythmic voice that draws from rock, alternative, and world music influences.

On drums is Kanhaiya (Krishna Kanhaiya Dasa), a Bali-born prodigy whose deep affinity for rhythm began in early childhood. Having toured in Indonesia and internationally from a young age, Kanhaiya has played with established artists and participated in jazz fusion projects, showcasing a rhythmic maturity that bridges youthful energy with seasoned technique.

The ensemble’s low end is held by Kristian Dharma on bass, a versatile session player active across genres whose work includes performances and recordings within Indonesia’s contemporary music community. In addition to his role in live settings, Kristian is recognized within the bassist network for his solid groove, adaptability, and technical command of the instrument.

Adding lyrical and expressive lines to the ensemble’s sound is Kuba Skowronski on saxophone. Originally from Poznań, Poland, Kuba is a musician with deep training in jazz and improvisation, influenced by masters like Stan Getz and Dexter Gordon. He has performed widely across Europe and Asia, collaborated with notable Indonesian artists, and is a fixture of the Bali jazz community.

Together, Greybox Ensemble crafts music that moves between electronic groove and live jazz expression, inviting listeners into a boundary-less sonic journey.
